Hurstpierpoint extends from the South Downs to the Weald. Overlooked by Wolstonbury Hill, an iron-age hill fort, now haven for wildlife. The centre of the village is designated as a Conservation Area and the Parish has over 90 listed buildings alongside a selection of shops, two pubs and numerous places to eat.
A number of gardens including, the Royal Botanical Gardens at Wakehurst Place, featuring the Mansion, inspiring gardens and the Millennium Seed Bank, and other visitor attractions, including the Bluebell Railway, are also located around the district. The Sussex Downs also provide the perfect landscape for invigorating walks and cycle tours, and the views are simply spectacular.
Daniel’s Restaurant come highly recommended, as do Napur Tandoori, which serves Indian and the New Inn serving Thai food . In addition there is also a Wine Bar and Bistro at Vineyard Lodge ,and the China Wall providing Chinese food eat in or take away. A number of good eating places are also only a short drive away
